For those that are unaware, the Province of Berkshire puts at a quarterly magazine called The Link. It gets sent to all Berkshire Freemasons, as well copies being freely available at all Masonic Centres in Berkshire.
As well as the traditional “hard copy” a few years ago the magazine could also be read online via the Province of Berkshire’s website. These aren’t hidden away in the member’s only section, but freely available to be read by anyone visiting the site. This way those interested in finding out about Freemasonry can read about what various Lodges in and around Berkshire have got up too.
It’s now been decided to only print the magazine twice a year, but to still keep it quarterly by having alternate issues available online only. To differentiate these are called The eLink, and the first issue of the online only format has just come out.
Quadruple Fellowcraft Ceremony
Not only that, but it features an article about what Kennet Lodge have been up to, as we’ve had a busy year. Not only did we have four new candidates join, but we finished the year with a Quadruple Fellowcraft Second Degree Ceremony. This is something very unusual and unheard of in recent Berkshire history!
Royal British Legion Industries donation
During the course of the year Kennet Lodge has been raising funds, and this resulted in being able to present a cheque of £1,000 to the Royal British Legion Industries, who help ex-armed forces personal (especially those with disabilities) adapt to life. The cheque was presented by W.Bro Rob Hawkins who is the current Master of Kennet Lodge, along with his wife Glenis.
